Photographer's Note
Good Morning Everyone,
This is one of my favourite photographs just, I think, because it is so different from most of my shots and such a one-off opportunity.
It was taken in Hyde Park, in London. I was trying to photograph a grebe, ducking under the water, when I noticed the floating feather. As luck would have it, a duck swam nearby. I waited until they were both in the frame before I clicked.
I love the way the duck's head appears upside down, with the feather symbolically like a fish!
cropped and sharpned + little burning.
Thank you for your interest.
Have a good Sunday, Bev :-)

hi bev,
a very well spotted composition with the reflections in the water, and the cropped duck creating an intreging picture. the floating leaf adds to the abstract nature of the picture.
regards,
brian

Hi beverley
Very attractive and inovative picture, well spotted and well focused on the feather; the upside portrait of the duck fills well the frame.

Hello Beverley,
This is not an immediately easily identified composition, so it shows the importance of clarifying notes. It is certainly an unusual composition, but with its clear lines and few colours it has immense graphic qualities.

Gert

Hello Beverly,
At first glance it's not easy to understad but if you've interpereted it, it's amazing !
First I had problems with the grebe(I was thinking it's part of a sculpture).
TFS and have a nice evening
Best regards

Hello Beverley,
I had to look twice to figure this one out! Clever use of reality merged with illusion, with the feather incongruously floating above the duck's reflections. And I thought it was an elephant at first too. Impeccable sharpness & textural details. Tfs!

Really an unusual in your gallery, Beverly.
Took me a while to comprehand what POV I see here, and that's agreeable to be unique.
A nice premeditated, and collecting the moment on the pond.
Good evening,
