A view of the contrasting architectural styles that exist alongside each other at Canary Wharf in London, England. The more traditional style of 10 Cabot Square in the foreground with the One Canada Square tower rising above it.

The styles are different but what they create is a wonderful pattern of different sized rectangles. I have to say, you have composed this beautifully to emphasise the changes in the buildings and patterns.
I just love that streak of light angling across the Canada Square building!
Have a lovely Sunday,

un bon point de vue et un bon cadrage pour présenter cette belle architecture. J'aime beaucoup les couleurs et la luminosité qui donne du relief aux bâtiments.

An image perfectly suiting the vertical format. The framing is excellent as are the light and colours. Superb clarity. I have to say I have a preference for the foreground architecture. I wish you a pleasant Sunday afternoon.

This is a great capture of this iconic tower, and one thing I often find about it is that because it is so wide and chunky, it can belie how tall the building actually is. The stripe of light against the left side is very cool, as is the contrastof architectural styles. Cabot square is beautiful, and the scraper is too. Bt I'm not too sure of the building to the left, it looks like a particular ugly style we have shorter versions of in Dublin, that strange seventies modern design. A great scene to show so many styles together like this, and what a sky too!

I'm an architecture lover and your last pictures present fine examples of beautiful and attractive modern architecture!
Here, sharpness, exposure, colors, large vertical format and composition are all excellent photo qualities to show those three beautiful buildings!
TFS - congrats,

A superb composition with these three buildings, which contrasted yet harmonized, their very different styles, I like the set of vertical and diagonal lines.
A splendid color, revitalizing the image.
Very good light and sharpness.
Well done. I love it ..
You enjoy the Sunday.
All the best.

Impressive set of two different styles and perfectly composed photo, both buildings have many windows and both are different, excellent POV and the moon is a nice addition :)

This is a nice contrast of architectural style. The lighting helps the modern architecture stand out nicely.

I love the mix of old and new architectures you can see in UK cities, this is something more rareful in France. Excellent POV and great image quality.

Whatever temps you have going on at the moment sure aren't reflected with this bright and sunny pic...bet you wish it were the beginning of July again, yeah? The background building looks like a giant 3D sheet of graph paper. Ooh, brings back bad memories of many failed math courses!? And wouldn't you know it, I now deal with student financial aid these days, how's that for irony!
Anywho, this is a fun contrast of styles, kissed with some nice light for good measure. Now, this may be a bit of a surprise, but I really like the deep blue reflected in the windows...and is that a sliver of the moon I see up above? Always a fascinating event, happens here quite a bit, and I never get used to seeing it in broad daylight. Great realization of subject matter B. Go and get yourself warmed up now, in fact, I think my next pic might help you out. :) Take it easy.
Cheers from Feenix,

Magnifique!

Hi Brian - I love the crisp lines of this architectural shot and if I am totally honest prefer this PP to the HDR (?) work you have recently posted. A matter of taste but this really brings forth the slick graphic patterns of the windows in a clean way. There are some superb details in this shot and you have managed to convey a feel for the time of day through the touches of light.
