A rare hot summer's day in London, England and office workers take time out for an alfresco lunch and also enjoy the fountains in Cabot Square in Canary Wharf.

Well taken POV to illustrate this impressive complex of modern buildings. I guess this is the financial district of the city, right?
Have a nice Sunday.

Very good POV ! The buildins on both side make good perspective lines that concentrate our look to the skyscrapers in the center of the picture. We often hear it is a good practice to outcenter the main subject of a picture but this is a good example of a case it is not a good idea ! Beautiful light, good colours and excellent sharpness.
Have a nice day,

The view looks so elegant and quite monumental in my opinion. It builds a superb subject for photography. Perfectly executed details, colors and perspective made the scene so stunning. Like it! Spectacular one!

A great POV, very sharp capture and you have caught the detail in the fountains superbly.

Big mega smiley face from me on this, a beautiful arhiectural shot, and as you say, that rare blue sky you'll make me think this were a city in the warm states of the US more so than London. As mention, the central composition is a brilliant choice here, and the angle makes these fine glass towers very impressive and very appealing. I wonder what people would thi when I tell them I am considering going to canary wharf for a holiday, haha.
Strangely too, this shot reminds me of the Rockefeller centre in new York. I know the architecture is utterly different, but something here makes me of that place.
Have a good Sunday

ah yes, love seeing the new and modern sides of London.
We don't get to see that often enough on TE.
lots of long lines and long perspectives going on here, no doubt because of the lens you chose.
this is right up my alley :)
very attractive subdued light, and the low pov works well.
enjoy your sunday

Bravo, excellent symmetric shot, elegant POV, the light is very well used, splendid photo

This is a stunning photograph and, interestingly, it does not appear to have suffered quite so much as previous ones from having been "shrunk" on this website to 790 pixels wide. It's a curious thing that the images that seem to suffer most are those uploaded at 800 pixels in width whereas this one, of course, you uploaded at the considerably larger width of 1200 pixels. Of course, it still looks fat better at ots original, larger size!
A beautifully strong and symmetrical composition with glorious warm sunlight and the details in the groups of people relaxing and enjoying the fine weather are stunning. And the sparkle off those water fountains is superb - they really do look like water fountains and not piles of cotton wool!
Fabulous light and colours, fine composition, perfect exposure and exquisite details and clarity throughout.

You found your way here, but did you make it back without getting lost? :) Guess we need to get you back to London a bit more often, yeah? :)
I'd never known about this spot, if I didn't know any better I would have guessed NYC or San Fran. Sounds like a touch of our weather has made its way across the pond, so it begs the question...did you have to strip down and jump in for a cool down? Socially unacceptable, right? lol
A great view from this low vantage point, feels like you were right in the water to take this shot. Clear blue skies, abundant sunshine, warm temps...and you say this is London?? Alright then, stereotype busted!
A place I will definitely keep in mind the next time I make it here, quite the modern and sharp looking complex. Keep that sunscreen handy. Have a good one B. Take it easy.
Cheers from humid Feenix,

Un cadrage en légère contre-plongée très efficace pour cette excellente photo. Un ciel qui fait rêver!

Excellent view of the square. The workers must be happy finding this type of beautiful square nearby. Nice capture.
Kamilutka (8105) 2014-07-07 1:28
lovely fountains in the foreground which soften this very much modern cityscape and add different element to the rather geometrical composition. Good POV and nice use of the classic symmetry resulted in well achieved depth. Well handled colors and light.
Thanks for sharing

Hello Again - This shot is beautifully constructed, the two 'arms' of architecture reach out towards the viewer and draw them into the scene in a strangely inmate way.... I like that. I really like your low POV too, we can just see the sun-worshipping workers through the cooling water and fountains. Lovely shot.

A textbook case of how to manage the verticals in a wide angled shot, with the distortion placed left and right and the verticals centrally placed. Good sharpness and nice warm cold colour contrasts between the reddish yellow and blue. Nice repetition of the plumes and jets of the fountain water. Tfs!

Nice symmetry in this image and good low point of view. I wonder if this place, or more specifically the fountains, light up at night? Can you imagine what that might look like? Anyway, I'm just thinking out loud and digressing from commenting on this sharp and meticulously composed shot.

Another very attractive modern urban environment that you have photographed in a very beautiful way!
Symmetrical composition, chosen pov, colors, horizontal format, sharpness and exposure are all excellent here too!
TFS - congrats,
