Good Morning Everyone,
A few days ago, my husband and I went to Lincolnshire, for a short break. We had never visited the city of Lincoln before, but were enraptured by the beauty of this historical place.
I can recommend it to anyone whom loves to see history, perfectly preserved in the modern world. It is both unspoilt and yet thriving.
This is a view from the wall of the castle. The building in the f/g houses one of only four original copies of the Magna Carta, whilst in the b/g rise the tall towers of Lincoln Cathedral.
I am adding a most informative Internet link here, which gives some really interesting information about Lincoln.
Many thanks for stopping by.
Please feel free to feedback on any aspect of the photograph, Bev :-)

Hi Bev, Very well captured lines and angles of the buildings- a great POV. The sunshine capturing the buildings is just rtight. You know I have driven passed the Castle many a time and have seen it at the top of the hill- but did not realise how beautiful it was. TFS and have a great week. Rich

A well performed composition! You have taken good care of many small details. I like, for example, the way you have anchored the wall at exacyly the lower right corner. Also the rounded inner wall is well placed, and the line along the the left building is directly aimed against the big tower in the outer wall. Looks like you had very pleasant weather too, all colours seem quite warm. Very interesting note and link too!

this one is going to be very popular for you.
the curvature of the stone wall makes it very appealing to the eye - thats a compliment to your choice of composition.
excellent light management, as its clear, consise, sharp and of high quality.

this is a very well considered composition. A nice light warms the building in the foreground. The castle wall takes a nice diagonal line from the bottom right, leading the eye to the turret and cathedral behind. The foreground building also provides another diagonal line, creating one of Peter's (Graffer) beloved triangles.

You did a splendid job of capturing marvelous historical architecture.
This is no ordinary castle with the swirling lines and intricate shapes.
I see from your note that it is a scene rich in history.

There are so many pieces of old good architecture in your picture. The round wall in the foreground is an excellent frame for castle inside it. The scene is very well composed and perfectly captured. Great job!

A very strange castle architecture.
Your point of view is interesting. Very nice view on the far cathedral.
Good frame quality.
If I was there I would make a stitch of several pictures to give more field.

Wonderful scene Bev, form an historic angle I have questions because the fg building looks like a prison and from a photographic angle I love the curved wall inside the castellated one. he door in the inner building gives some scale but it is very large it seems, nice work.
