Photographer’s Note
The young Lord Krishna and Dandiya Raas......what on earth does this have to do with a UK Panto of Dick Whittington and his cat?
Well folks this is Loughborough and one of the world's hot beds of the Sea of Faith movement - possibly the only place in the country where the Chair of the Council of Faiths is a Pagan druid.......so what else but a natural progression to what is possibly the world's first multi-faith pantomime version of an English classic!
I had an enjoyable time commissioned to photograph the rehearsals and performance of this show as Dick and his cat, love interest Sarah, the Dame and her seafaring husband scour the world for the missing links of the Mayoral Chain - all in the aid of Dick claiming his rightful position as Lord Mayor of Loughborough.
Just brilliant! Hindu, Sikh, Jewish, Christian, Pagan, Buddhist, Moslem performers.....and those with no particular religious affiliation at all working together as one community to packed audiences reflecting the participants origins and beliefs......a little ray of hope in a world which divides along these lines so often!

Hey Kev: beautiful bokeh in your second participant - some subtle mastery here - nice, blur, great color, DOF is tasteful... c

Hi, Kev.
My first reaction : it is oversaturated ;))).
But, after some seconds of reflection, I must admit that this oversaturation works here quite well.
Great scene, very good moment, I like it.
Best regards. Grazyna.

Hey Kev - almost sounded the way Jay leno says "hey Kev" :))
Perfectly managed light in this moltion..seems exposure is just right to bring out a well balanced saturation of colours..
Good use of the elements with the right perspective..think it gives the right depth the compo demands...well presented..i like it :)
Cheers

Hi Kev! Impossible to escape from this color palette. Looks like my sunsets in an indoor version. :) Those oranges, yellows and turquoise blues are really good. The moment itself is nice and the focus game works very well. I just wished the eyes of the main subject were fully visible. Her expression is also on the "low" side... if you understand what I mean. Love the thick black background. You always manage to produce rich blacks when photographing indoors.
