Anne of Cleves house, a photo from Leicestershire, England

Photographer's Note

This is Anne of Cleves house in Melton Mowbray. I don't know what to do with the traffic light, the only thing that I could do was to darken it a little. I actually took two photos there,one was form this side, and one was from the other side. You may see the sign on the wall there, on the other side it was Henry VIII. I decided to process this one, because I like the church at the background, but the down side is the traffic light.

Hello Jasmine,
The point of view is well chosen despite the traffic lights, which would be very difficult to avoid and awkward to clone out. I like the light, colours and detail. Also, the contrasts between the blue sky and the ochre tones of the architecture. I had no idea Anne of Cleves ended up in Melton Mowbray. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Jasmine,
Really nice hostoric shot, and as you say, the church in the background is a really nice touch. Great lighting and colours. I dont think the traffic light detracts from it at all, as Stephen says, it would be most difficult to try and remove it. I am quite used to seeing things like this put in the worst possible places. I think all public planners should be made upload 100 photos to Trekearth before they are allowed go and put poles and obstructions in front of such beautiful buildings :)

Wonderful shot of this marvelous scene. The castle bg is splendid and the people add life and a human quality to the shot. The lighting and colors are beautiful with nice sharpness and DOF.
