Photographer's Note
Black and White 4.
Dancin’ Wid Mi Mobi
I know there are a lot of mobile phone shots on TE – they have become a ubiquitous feature of modern life – well this is my contribution to the party. This guy kept me enthralled for ages just watching him dance across the whole of this space in the picture – weaving in and out of various passers by – reacting to whatever as being said at the other end almost oblivious to everything else – for a while he stopped in the dark area to the left and was then out and about and at it again on the pavement. It was quite funny and would have made a good short dance film!

Yes, there should be a theme. A good example here, interesting that you've left the dark space in the compo, unconventional, but I think it works, dividing the space into a series of rectangles.

Excellent B/W shot, Kev. this one is a reall winner! Deep, deep shadows delineating te sapce around this mobi-drunk! Ha! this is really cool street photography, and your note fills in whatevr blanks might be left over after the image and the title, very nicely indeed. Super package all told. Cheers, Francis

Hi Kev,
So any idea of what tune he was dancing to? Very well caputred well contrasted, I think you have captured the feeling of movement by the position of his feet.

Yeah, people using their mobile phones are often funny to watch. Pointing, waving, kicking... anything to emphasize their words, but without effect to the listener on the other phone. Actually they are probably also funny to watch using their 'normal' phones at home, but then we don't see them... Good shot with attractive fields with a large range of greyscales; funny note!

Hi Kev,
Seeing the thumbnail I really thought someone´s dancing on the street.. Infact he really has a dancing pose.Wonderful B/W shot with strong contrasts and a wide tonal range.

Great B&W photo Kev,
It has great contrast with strong blacks and whites without too much in the middle greys.
I like the way the photo has two halves, the dark left side and the light right side.

Hi Kev
I love the way the B&W emphasises the multitude of textures in this shot...it helps set the stage for this chap's performance!
I also like the dark entrance in the background, with just enough detail to make you want to "peer" in and see what is going on back there!
Great capture.

wow.. this is a great composition with B/W.almost half of the frame is entire black and half of the frame is bright... and in this we have a fantastic geometrical shapes made of by bricks.. while the other person going out of the frame is busy with his cell phones..This is one of the best shot of you in recent posts..
