Photographer's Note

Good Morning Everyone,,

A curious title, you may think, but it refers to the appearance of these beautiful spring flowers - bluebells.

Brian (timecapturer) has been posting shots of bluebells for nearly a month. Up here, in the north of England, the bluebells have just opened, to make the most amazing blue carpets in the woodlands.

Bluebells succeed in shady areas. This photograph was taken at Spring Wood an ancient woodland that is owned by Lancashire County Council. It is so relaxing to walk through this woodland, with only the sound of the birds trilling in the background.

Natural woods contain English bluebells but many gardens now contain Spanish bluebells. It is easy to tell the difference once you are aware that they are different. This Internet link will explain the difference.

Have a lovely day,
Bev :-)
