A farmhouse with age!

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Hello Everyone,
Continuing my theme of farmhouses on the moors, this one is a prime example and because it is close to the lane, I could get closer.
It is several hundred years old, it is long and low, is built of random stone, the walls are more than half a metre thick, the many windows are all tiny and have rainsplashes to divert the raindrops. The farmhouse has an attached barn, quite common in this area.
The fields attached to the farm are relatively small and are all bounded by drystone walls; again, a characteristic of the area.
As you can see, the promised spring weather has left us and the cold, with snow, has arrived with a vengeance.
Many thanks for your visit.
Please feel free to offer feedback on any aspect of this photograph. :-)

Hello Beverley
I'm glad you continue your series. This old farm is very well presented despite of the bad and cold weather, with great colors and a good sharpness which reveals much details.
The path leads the eyes to the snowy background, is well seen.
Good work of PP.
Regards,
Karine

Hi Bev,
This is a far cry from the modern buildings that are not slated to last more than a half of a generation. This old beauty appears in fine repair with a lovely green hedge and old stone fence in its beautiful front yard.
Regards, Tom
