Hello Everyone,

Today the weather has been cold, wet and windy;
typical winter elements but without the beauty of snow!

I needed a little cheering-up so I hope you won't mind if I indulge myself with a little nostalia!

This photograph reminds me of the lovely evenings we had mid-autumn. It isn't particularly exciting, but the sky was glorious, the sun was low and casting a wonderful golden light over the fields and the long dark shadows added interest to the paths. Mmm, sheer bliss!

pp cropped a little, tweaked the levels, framed and added text.

I hope you enjoy the shot.
Thank you for stopping by.
Please feel free to offer feedback on any aspect of the photograph. :-)

Hi Beverley,

fine compo and technical execution.

From technical point I like rich colors and shadow details. Compo with curved road and fence embracing the tree works perfect. Even the sky with just few thin clouds fits in.

hello Beverley
i remark that in this beginning winter we both chose to post an autumn shot
i like your simple image , this small road where one go for a walk on a sunday afternoon thinking that ... Winter will soon be here
au revoir
JEFF

Ciao Beverly ,
when you have want of sun, you write and I send little of sun of Italy like other time .
otherwise it watches the photos of the warm countries, like Italy or others of the meditteraneo area and humor increases.
have a nice week

Very nice compostion with the fence following the curved road. Colors are very pleasant. A definitely great atmosphere.

Hi Bev.
Another wonderful rustic scene. Beautiful autumn colours and light, and a great viewpoint with that diagonal fence and curving road. Good work with levels to bring detail and sharpness to the shaded area in the foreground. Very nice shot.
Regards,
Andrew

A simple shot in which you have certainly captured the essence of Autumn. Natural colours and the bend in the road is an attractive feature of the composotion. Very nicely done.
Best wishes for Christmas and the New Year,
Mark

Hey Beverly!

A really great shot, a lively composition, along with lovely colors, clarity and nice shadow-work, (the undergrowth and the branches) - sharpened very nicely. But most of all, the motive is absolutely wonderful.

Reminiscent of that famous hymn written by William Blake. ;)

Anyway, congratulations.

Take care.

Hello Beverley

this image has a soft subtle charm. In spite or because of its rich colors it conveys an overall feeling of serenity, almost melancholy.

The composition is well balanced and manages to makes useful use of the curving road.

Congratulations

Emmanuel
