I am sorry for my slight absence but things do get so hectic towards Christmas that time just seems to evaporate!
The very cold nights, recently, have given spectacular reults to the evening skies! This was the result of one such evening, looking up the hilside towards a local farm.
The sky was really this spectacular, vivid orange which allowed the farmhose and trees to become nicely silhouetted.
I have just cropped some of the silhouette to give more emphasis to the sky. Apart from that, and the addition of a border, no pp work.
Many thanks for stopping by.
Please feel free to offer feedback on any aspect of the photograph. :-)

We experienced these colourful sunsets also so I can confirm that your colours are not exaggerated! However, I did not capture a view as good as this. Your silhouetted skyline is detailed yet uncluttered. The cropping is well judged, as even this amount of black has great impact. A very successful sunset shot - a popular subject, but not the easiest to pull off well!

very contrast photo! the sky looks fiery. I know how incredible it can look!
Very good composition (it's interesting that the line is diagonal, not horizontal).
I also especially like the silhouette of the tallest trees on the right (the ones that are closer to the house).

This is a real nice colour of the evening light over the sky!
good upward pov to include the farm house and the dried trees as good silhouette against the powerful sky
well done and nice work!

A very nice incredible sky with wonderful colours. good contrast too between the two parts of your photo. I like too the balance of the composition with a nice diagonal. Good and nice photowork.
Have a good day.

A fine sunset image with beautiful warm tones. The silhouettes nicely balanced moving up the sloping hill from left to right. A calming well presented image.

It is difficult to catch a beautiful sunset around here. I lost count of the times I have gone out to capture a sunset and there has been a non-event. I decide not to bother... and guess what! Right! I look out of the window and there is a beautiful sunset, but I have no time to get to a decent venue. It's even worse trying to catch a sunrise. It's difficult to motivate myself to get out of bed early when I'm almost certain there will be nothing to see.
However you have come up trumps! You have a wonderful skyline to provide really interesting silhouettes, and those colours are stunning.
Can you remember a "Big Book" from school? I think it's an Anansi one, where all the pages are sunset colours and everything else is in silhouette. Anyway, images like this always remind me of that.;D

the contrasts are really breathtaking! This evening sky with a symphony of red and orange colors is a rare view and the silhouettes are the icing on the cake. A great capture! TFS!

Wonderful richness and textures to this lovely late day sky of beautiful shades of varying golds and yellows and the lovely silohuetted hillside farm.
This is a lovely stark late Nov. image.

What striking colours you have captured here. The sillouhettes seen are interesting. That is probably the best sunset I have ever seen.
