Good Morning Everyone,
After weeks of rain, we have at last seen the sun.
It's remarkable how it affects people's attitudes, people's demeanour, people's joie de vivre.
With a chance to go out walking, it is possible to see that spring is on its way.
This view shows the village where I live. It nestles in a valley with steep hills around it. The one outstanding feature is the church, whilst isolated farms can be seen on the hillsides.
The village used to be very self sufficient having mills that produced a variety of fabrics, (Lancashire's heritage) but there is little industry nowadays.
The sun is still low at this time of year, great for photography.
I hope you enjoyed this little glimpse into my neighbourhood. Have a good day, Bev :-)

lovely photograph and the title says it all. The beautiful light on the tree and the far stretching fields with thel village presents a perfect picture of happiness and peace that the people must surely feel after the ravages of a bitter and extended winter. Thanks for sharing with us this fine and uplifting presentation. Have a nice evening.

Good morning Bev,
the joy of the people that want after all to stop raining after so many weeks is written in your title of the photo,so noticeably. Excellent the panoramic landscape view with the tree to be placed perfect in the frame, with the light of the day to spread all over the area. The colours of March tell us for the coming of the Spring.Well done.

ah,sunshine and you have taken full advantage of a lovely light to show the charm of rural Lancashire in winter, the naked tree is most attractive.
A lovely shot with a cheerful message,thanks.
Kind regards Les.

Hello Bev - The land begins to wake up after the winter and doesn't it look fine under the low sun? You present us with a shot that ignites my imagination, are those old tied mill workers cottages behind the church?
A flight of fancy perhaps but this comes to mind. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Mq59ykPnAE .... beautiful!

Une belle chance que vous avez de voir la lumière au bout du tunnel. Le printemps et la nature reprennent leurs droits. Bientôt des fleurs aux arbres. Ici, c'est -25c ce matin, très froid pour la photo.

The leafless tree is placed well in this composition.
There's a beautiful light on the landscape, in the sky and on the tree. This tree looks very beautiful with the alternation between the sunlit branches and those in the shade.
Best regards, Paul

That's a very pleasant rural landscape. Tree well placed of course, and the sunlit fields and the village with its church complete very well the scene. An intriguing detail: a wire seems passing through branches?! By comparison with what I currently see through my window and on my thermometer, doesn't look so "wintry" to me. Nice that better weather has reached you.
Best regards, Claude

This seems to be a very pleasant area to live in. A very attractive view here over the vast landscape. But I also have checked the Google map street views and I am convinced that the landscape here is very beautiful. But the Trawden Arms did not look that inviting, but maybe its better inside.

Your style of typing the title and the choice of it perfectly captures the uplifting of mood with the uplifting of the cloud cover. You are right Sun has a huge positive effect on our lives, I think that's the reason Hindus term it as the 'Only visible God' :)
Nice photo with lovely warm light adding golden colours to the beautiful landscape. What a beautiful place to live in! Thanks for sharing.

you certainly seem to live in a peaceful area Bev :)
its easy to see why you'd want to live here.
as much as i love cities for their architecture, the calmness and fresh air here is well warrented.
clouds, rolling hills, large treesn, a wood picket fence, the only thing missing is a couple walking their dog :)
enjoy your day

Magnifique lumière sur cette très belle photo de ton environnement quotidien. Beau paysage rural.

Let there be light! :) O.K., that doesn't carry as much weight coming from a simple mortal as myself...but you get the idea. haha
And what beautiful sunshine there is, the soft glow and perceived warmth is well conveyed with this scene. You're absolutely right in saying that the sun brightens up more than just the land...everyone seems to perk up a bit, and I imagine even more so after the seemingly endless storms in your neck of the woods.
The tree makes for a wonderful main subject, looks quite wiry...like a man made form of art. Lovely natural color and detail throughout. I hear the Beatles coming on, "Here Comes the Sun...." :) Have a great day. All the best.
Friendly wishes from the States,

This lovely picture could have been taken anywhere in Devon.
I really like these villages, usually tucked away in the valley somewhere with rolling hills all around.
