Winter trees have a beauty all of their own, it is a beauty from their frame; they seem more expressive.
This tree leans into the shot, carrying attention with it and is very tenderly touching its own shadow.
It is a while since I posted anything from the village where I live. Sometimes you have to stop and appreciate what you have locally.
Have a great day, Bev :-)

A simple composition, but a very attractive one much enhanced by the pleasant light and the interesting shadow play you mention in your note. I hope you are enjoying good weather at the moment at least that it is not raining!

Hello Beverley, very nice image here. Sometimes we forget the beauties around us and maybe because we see them every day. A lovely composition. Nice autumn mood.

You are right that it's easy to look far for a photo and to forget that a good picture can be found next door, if you just have they eyes for it. This is quite simple, but that is also often the key to a fine photo. I like the intertwined pattern of the branches and its reflections, the bright autumn sky, the fallen leaves and the grey wooden fence. It's a refreshing photo from what must have been a very refreshing day.

I do totally agree with your sentiments,it`s quite easy to overlook the scenes that surround us.
Although a simple shot the effect of the sun on the trunk of the tree and the shadows created make an interesting image, the only thing missing was a person sunning themselves on one of those benches.
Best regards Les.

I see a fine triangle here with the tree at one side and the upper branches together with the shadow on the wall. A window at one corner. Trees without leaves can provide very fine patterns.

like you, I love winter trees they take on such distinctive shapes and complex brain-like patterns. This is a wonderfully imaginative and strangely sensual shot. I love the motive here and you have made it so beautifully expressive. Well done!

Good evening Beverly,
Shadows play beautifully on the wall and on the fallen leaves on the ground.
The naked tree not obsecuring the view of the landscape far behind the yard on picture.
Nice afternoon composition, fine clear shot.

This is cool, by the angle you took this at, you have given this tree personality, and reading your note, I do see it reaching into the frame, in a very determined way. I could easily believe that this tree only took this position when it seen your camera, and decided it wanted to be inside the shot too! I do agree, its nice to sometimes see the things we have closer to home, and this among shots on this site frequently teaches me that we don’t have to find the greatest castles to make great photos.
Thanks as always

Ciao cara Beverley
Ciao e buona serata

it is nice to see a scene from your own surroundings. It make me think about that i often forget my own neighborhood..This is a pleasant scene with an excellent play with light and shadows, just have a look at shadow from the tree! The colorful leaves on the ground looks inviting for crawling in:) Attractive crisp and clear shot with beautiful colors!
Have a nice evening/

Dear Beverley! this is a simple and pleasant picture of a park, many dead leaves creating nice orange/brown hues, both light and subdue light, I like the tree reflection on the barrier, all the best Bev, good evening

Another visual delight with great framing and natural colours. There are so many beautiful things in this picture. the perfectly depicted tree in the foreground, the fence cutting deep into the frame and the lovely patterns made by the shadows and all of it perfectly balanced. thanks for sharing.
