Photographer’s Note
This is a picture of the beached ferry 'Riverdance' which ran aground near Blackpool in North west England during very rough weather last week.
The craft has become something of a draw for people & the sea front was filled with on-lookers.
No lives were lost during the ship wreck & attempts continue to re-float her.
Regards to all,
David.

Hi David,
this is crazy,
fine to hear that all survived, yet the picture is great. I like the composition and soft colours in the humid atmosphere.
Well done

Hi David
This a great shot.
A ship wreck is not a joyful event but, as nobody died, we can admire the spectacular view you got.
You have shown that event in a very aesthetic way.

Great shot, David! The presence of the spectators and the helpless state of this enormous vessel tell quite a story. I love the pale, misty lighting and the point of view. Hard to imagine how she'll float again... unless the tide REALLY comes in..

Lisa

Hi David! good note and fantastic shot. I find that your choice to split the photo in two symmetrical parts is very good, because the people on the beach in the low half of the photo are clear and well shaped, while the boat is misty and touched by soft light, unerlying the sense of unreality of the whole picture! Something like cinema, or the touching of two different worlds.
I finally lihe the black beach framing!
Thanks for sharing.

Hi David
What a unique image. Crazy seeing a ship tipped like that. Great tones and very sharp. Really nice capture of this ship wreck. Good work.

Hi David, this was well worth the trip to capture this unusual event. Your POV really shows the crazy angle the ferry is beached at. I really like the composition - the ferry is nicely positioned and the foreground is really interesting too. Nice one!
