Photographer's Note

Good Morning Everyone,

I continue with my postings of scenes frm Blackpool and its surrounding area.

Here you can see the 30 metre high blades of illuminated “dune grass” which are part of the landscaping around the Tower Festival Headland.

Craig (macjake) asked me what they were and, at that time, I was unsure. Anyway I have found that the structures are designed to sway in the wind. If you click here you will be able to see them swaying on YouTube.

I love how perspective can enlarge or shrink. I remember a recent photograph by Lars making a lady appear much taller than a nearby church tower! In my case, these swaying grasses appear taller than Blackpool Tower which reaches a height of 158 metres (518 feet).

I know it isn't quite as sharp as usual because it was accidentally on low quality jpeg but I thought it was still an interesting photograph to post.

I wish you a happy day, Bev :-)
