Photographer’s Note
Continuing on from my previous postings on a day out at the seaside.
Moving down the coast from St.Annes you arrive at Blackpool.
The photo is a detail of the modern part of the Sea Wall at Blackpool.
Please see my recent postings for further details.
'In 1989 a national survey found that 4,190,000 holidaymakers stayed in the resort, and 12,590,000 people came on day or evening trips — these visitors are thought to have spent over £445 million in the town in 1989. Over the past twenty years the pattern of holidays has changed, with an increasing emphasis on self-catering accommodation (now forming 25.5% of the town’s stock of hotels, guesthouses and holiday flat premises), and on day trips and short breaks throughout the extended season'.
UPDATE: I have posted an alternate crop of this image as a WS - see what you think :)

Ah you're stepping out Stephen. Absolutely brilliant shot. Appropriate high DoF, and a perfect compo giving a diagonal across the frame. Would be a fav if I had any more I could add.

Lovely repetitions and the worn look and moss green is pleasing to the eye.

The reptition in this one is really great.
Would be perfect if the black hole in the foreground was complete,-but that´s just a deatil.

Great graphical shot with a strong line from bottom left to the top right, giving a great POV.
Looks a litle like a macro of a honeycomb :-)

Wonderful pattern shot! Looks very Sci-Fi (could be a rusty space ship floating abandoned in the space), but familiar as we have a very similar one here in Scarborough - a new one!
Your DOF is superb as are texture and colours.
Brilliant one!

PS. The alternative is also good, but I prefer this one.

Hi Stephen,
This is a wonderful industrial shot. The hexagons creaets a great pattern with very nice textures. I like the tilt very much. Excellent composition.
BTW, I like this crop better than the WS one.

These are great! What are they ? They look like huge nuts - without the bolts. Great shot, great POV, DOF, coloring, framing . EVERYTHING!!!

Very nicely done to capture this graphic image of the sea wall. The textures and contrast are perfect for this shot. The angle and perspective are well seen. I think I like the workshop a little more, however. There is a feel for greater depth as everything dwindles so far away. And I also like the solid block that breaks up the repetitive pattern in a key spot and really makes a good jumping off point. Well done.
