This is what remains of Sissinghurst Castle in Kent. If you look at my earlier posts, you'll find a potted history of this fantastic place; so no point repeating myself (;^))
This started off as a fairly lacklustre image but, with the aid of Photoshop CS3 and a bit of trial and error, I've managed to:
1 Correct verticals
2 Improve balance between shade and highlight
3 Increase saturation
4 Sharpen (smart sharpen)
Hope you like it as I'm quite pleased with the end result. |

Hi paul;
Superb vertical shot, that realy enhances the height and thinness of the building.
colors are bright and your sharpness is very good.
THe grass gives great light to the composition, and the creeping branches on the house are a very interesing detail, as if the finger of nature was taking back its rights.
Congratulations
Thomas

Beautiful!! I love the old castle! Your colors and detail are beautiful. I really like the GREEN!! TFS
Hello Paul
The high tower fits perfectly in this vertical framing with well corrected perspective. It seems this remaining part of the castle is well preserved and it would be a pity if not! The greenery around looks very attractive!
Cheers
