Photographer’s Note
I photographed these jet trails in the grounds of Ightham Mote - a medieval moated manor house which dates from around 1320. It has been described as "the most complete small medieval manor house in the country".
This photo has been post processed through a pseudo-HDR program.

dear Mariene,
impressive sky and nostalgic building,
the blue sky with white and gray cloud, and orange bricks and tiles and gray stones of the house make picturesque contrast, it is very tasteful.
and we can feel the time both present in jet trails and past on roof and wall, it is also ambivalent.
thank you for your excellent picture,
Akihisa

Marlene, another fine shot you have here, great detail and then the jet trails always have a soft place in my heart. Good stuff.

Hi Marlene,
Sometimes all these jet trails are a disturbance in the pictures (like cars can be) and sometimes you can take advantage of them and use them in your composition, like you´ve done here. What kind of pseudo-HDR program do you use? Is it something like "Shadows/Highlights" in PSE?
Kind regards
Gunnar

Hello Marlene,
An interesting sky with a lot of clouds of various shapes. You were lucky to find a place where you could contrast the sky with this very nice building. The texture of these bricks and rocks is very attractive.

Hello Marlene,
I really see traces of HDR in this photo, and though, like I already said, I'm not quite a fan of HDR, I find this a good image :) But what makes this "Medieval image" so funny is really those jet trails: what a curious juxtaposition of the modern and the old :)
Kind regards, and warm greetings from hot Moscow!

Hi Marlene,
Very interesting, unexpected detail for a view with a 1320 house.
People of the 14th century would be afraid of such signs on the sky :-)
Greetings,
Francisco
