Photographer’s Note
You are now looking through the windscreen of a coach driving through the Eurotunnel train which goes from Folkestone in the UK to Calais/Coquelles in France. When the coach reaches the car in which it parks for the journey, fire doors close before and behind the coach and it is in it's own car for the journey under the English Channel. Passengers can get out of the coach and walk around the train passing through small fire doors to walk further. The journey takes 35 minutes; is very smooth and quiet and when it is over you drive straight onto the French roads having passed through French customs etc. on the UK side. The opposite happens on the return journey.
Scanned from 35mm print.

Interesting photo. Wonderfully composed, and good lighting scheme. A pity it did not come out a bit sharper.

Nice converging lines leading to the coach in the distance. I would have prefered the shot to be taken from the centre line of the train to make the picture exactly balanced - not so easy when shooting from the coach window I guess ;-)
