The boat (My Isobel) seen here on the Folkestone harbour floor is a working boat. I presume that it is used to transfer fisherman to and from their fishing boat. When Isobel is on the harbour floor the parent boat is at sea. When Isobel is at the harbour boat ramp, the fishing boat is in the harbour.

monochromatic beauty this and my kind of imagery. All the lines and textures here are just perfect at creating the atmosphere and artistry of an image like this. An accomplished and beautifully presented image. Love it! Just hope the TE's do too, B&W does not seem to figure very highly on this site, strangely....
Have a great week - B.

Hello again Trevor
Now this is an excellent piece of work: I absolutely agree with Brian. Also with the fact that monochrome isn't flavour of the month on TE. But keep them coming: the quality is superb, and we won't have disagreements about saturation!

This is a most agreeable still life composition that perfectly suits the black and white treatment. Ideally framed using the ropes as a lead-line toward the boat. Superb rendering of the textural detail. I like it very much indeed, thanks for sharing.

A lot of density in this B&W conversion. Well done !
I like the compo with the ropes guiding the eye through the image

Kia ora Trevor,
a photo with a lot of character, especially in black & white. Working boats always make interesting subjects. Cheers, Neil

This fishing boat in B&W medium had been presented very good. This way look like very an old photo. Nice composition with line leading eyes to main object. Well done!
Have a nice 2014!
