October sunlight strikes the medieval walls of the old castle at Scotney Gardens, in the county of Kent, England. The castle and old house just a shell but still beautiful and mysterious in the autumn light.

I like the tight framing, which concentrates the attention on the delightful architecture. Also, the contrasting frame offered by the creeper. The image also benefits from a lovely warm light and colours to match. I wish you a pleasant and enjoyable Sunday.

This is a nice castle, with a great light and a perfect sharpness.
I guess it would have been nice too the a full reflection of the castle on the water.

Eye-catching view of the Scotney Gardens castle, the warm lighting enhances the ancient gothic rock textures, and the impressive tower keep. And a bonus with a glimpse of the structure mirrored like glass in the water.
Thanks for sharing,

The deep saturated colors makes this ancient castle really beautiful. Nice observatory on top of the round tower.
have a great day

Hey there Little Boy Blue,
Thanks for a big smile and laugh with that sign-off, that's actually one of my nicknames given to me by my sisters. :)
So, an Autumn image, already anxious for Summer to be complete?? A nice curve ball however, this is a stunning result. The colors and textures are incredibly rustic and vibrant...and what a setting too, right along the water for that added bonus of reflection. It may be just a shell of itself, but it sure comes to life through your handy dandy lens. Cracker of a shot mate! Enjoy the new week. Take it easy.
Cheers from across the pond,

La lumière donne des couleurs particulières à ce château médiéval qui reste en bon état.

another excellent picture form you. This time my sincere congratulations first of all for finding this charming place. The chunky walls normally are not very picturesque but this castle is not very big and lovely located on the water and that makes it quite adorable. The walls with red bits on them and some ivy climbing the ruined parts make the composition very pretty. Nice framing and very well saturated colors.
Thanks for sharing
All the best

Hello Brian, Wonderful castle, it is not in such a bad states. Ruins seem more romantic and mysterious than the better preserved castles. In this autumn light it looks so loavely. Warm regards Malgo
