The manor house at Scotney Castle near Lamberhurst in the county of Kent, England. This mansion was built between 1835 and 1843 to replace the old medieval castle that sits in the grounds and is an early example of Tudor revival architectural style in 19th century Britain.

such a typical for England architecture and so well preserved. I like the old buildings much more than any of the modern ones - they have always plenty of stories to tell.
You caught the charm of this manor very well. I like a bit of the tree on the right hand side which adds some life to the composition and frames the picture naturally. Very well saturated colors, well given contrast and nicely managed light.
Well done and enjoy your day ahead

Good Morning Brian,
The light on this fine manor house is lovely. It means that you were able to capture its warm glow, whilst the shadows create a fine 3D effect.
It is difficult to include the whole of a building, like this, but you have been very thoughtful with your composition so that the right angle corner is nicely set on the thirds line.
Have a lovely day,

This is a wonderful capture of this spectacular architecture! Under such a great light and with clear blue sky in the background it looks simply outstanding. Carefully composed and perfectly taken image. Bravo!

A well framed image that shows this lovely architecture to great effect. The saturated blue sky makes a fine foil for the honey coloured stonework that we can see in excellent detail. Technical presentation is top.

Beautiful image of this stately home. You chose perfect time of the day for the light direction and obviously was blessed with amazing weather - not easy combination to obtain this side of the English Channel! ;-)
Have a nice day

un ritorno nell atuia patria tra edifici dall'aspetto imponente e dai colori cupi, però sempre in evidenza contro un cielo che non potrebbe essere più azzurro e brillante.
Ottima come al solito al composizione ed eccellente la definizione.
Straordinari i colori.
Ciao e buon fine settimana

Beautiful architecture with interesting shapes and great texture of the walls, the light is perfect as usually, beautiful detailed photo

Fine building, I like that the structure harks back to the castle it replaced with those crenallations, while the main design speaks of the luxury this place would be designed for. I cant imagine a more apt place for tea and scones, rustling big leaf newspapers, and harrumphing by the fireplace! Love this angle, and that blue sky is glorious.
I would imagine in black and white, this would also look quite spooky, the shadows are deep and would set a lovely mood.

mi sembra un bellissimo esempio di architettura, non sono un conoscitore dello stile Tudor, ma questo palazzo mi piace molto.
Credo che abbiano costruito il tutto anche velocemente, otto anni non mi sembrano molti.

what a beauty eh!
So there was once a medieval castle here too?
what a shame they couldn't share the same plot of land.
the sky you have here is A+, that blue is such a fine color contrast.
you have yourself an amazing exposure too, fine fine shot my friend - really like it. Strong and bold.

Belle présentation de l'architecture de ce vieux manoir. La lumière est parfaite pour nous permettre d'en apprécier les détails. Bien fait.

A charming and intriguing subject, shot with your usual flair and quality. The warm light is very attractive, illuminating the details of the stonework quite nicely. Excellent work, thanks for sharing.
