Dawn on Romney Marsh and the beach at Dungeness in Kent, England. This narrow rail track runs towards the sea, past another old deserted fishing boat. The beach here is scattered with old hulks decaying on the shingle.

Love the combination of warm and cold tones of this scene which built a really fantastic and moody image. The visual effect based on these components is fantastic and additionally is supported by the fantastic elements captured in the foreground to achieve a great work! Beautiful theme and its execution. TFS.
Have a lovely day!

molto bella la composizione per la presenza dei binari e delle reti distese tra i ciottoli.
Splendida come tuo solito la nitidezza che varorizza molto bene il soggetto.
Ciao e buon fine settimana

a beautiful melancholic picture with superb balance and arrangement of interest. The old boat that stands next to the rail truck and will never use it again is wonderfully placed in your composition, its perspective is very fine and attractive. I love the effective lighting, the textures and the way all the elements add meaning to each other. I also love the gradual transfer from cool to warm tones as well as the sheen on the rails. Exquisite work, congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely weekend,

J'aime beaucoup ce genre de composition où il émane un aspect poétique du meilleur effet.
Cette réalisation est de toute beauté.
Très bonne journée.

Hello Brian - I'd love to visit this area, it's fertile ground for a photographer. This shot conveys the feeling of both abandonment and isolation with the nets and ropes lying forgotten on the shingle. Is this a reflection on the state of the English fishing fleet I wonder? Of note here is the clever capture of the old railway tracks. I love the way they snake through the shot and the pink sun glints off them. Soft and beautiful colours add to the mood here. Warm regards Rosemary

Wonderful early morning light that has created such pleasing colors here. The combination of warm sunlight and the colder blues of the boat and nets has created a truly nice effect. The railways acting as a guiding line in the composition and lit by the early morning sun are gorgeous.
have a great weekend

A most effective and attractive minimalist composition. The well worn rails inexorably draw the viewer toward the hulk of the fishing boat. The blue and orange tinged sky is quite sublime. The tattered blue cord is a definite plus. Have a great weekend.

the rail track going across the shot as well as these blue ropes are really magnificent features of your composition and make superb complement to this old, deserted boat.
Beautiful, soft light and strong, vivid colors create so lovely mood of the scene and make it feels quite melancholic.
Have a nice sunday

The possibilities here must have almost been a bit much to try and cram in before the atmospheric light disappeared. Much like one of your previous pictures of this boat, that light is what does it for me...soft, simple, warm, and smooth. For a sky with no clouds, it still carries a big impact on this shot.
What a great mixture of elements, a lot of which is rustic and textured. It goes without saying too, that the perspective created by this point of view and overall composition is outstanding! I particularly like kiss of sunlight highlighting the rails off into the distance, drawing my eye even further into the scene. A terrific shot! Hope you're having a nice weekend. Take it easy.
p.s. Honored to think I could be even a small part of the reason for wanting to re-visit some of your previous collection. Much thanks! :)

Ta très bonne composition nous raconte un monde qui semble abandonné. Très bonne utilisation de la lumière particulière du moment.

A truly abandoned and derelict place, which your boat details and strewn rope convey most succinctly.
The curving railway line make an irresistible guide into the scene.
Have a lovely day,

This is a beautiful composition.
The obscurity of there being a ship next to a railway track makes the image
unique and almost philosophical. The blue ropes add colour and definition.
Excellent and masterful.
Thanks for sharing.
williewhistler (9787) 2013-10-13 12:22
this is such a super shot, beautifully composed with the curving tracks leading ever so nicely to the horizon past the old wreck.
The complementary blue and pink tones are simply gorgeous,a lovely, lovely photograph.

One mans junk is another mans treasure, and I think we both enjoy this 'treasure' type of subject!!
anytime you can place a subject in the fg and one in the bg, and have both of them in sharp focus is a successful photo.
the pepples are clear and sharp, lots of textures, and even in dealing with the harsh light it still looks great.
well done my friend

Another great use of lines to create depth - great early morning light and well composed. Sharp and detailed throughout.

You found Noah's Ark! Theyve been looking in the wrong country. Oh wait, it's just a deserted old fishing boat, as you say. Still, I like the upward pov and the slip rail provides fine lead in lines and perspective. Fantastic colour, sharpness and saturation. Tfs!
