The key to England Photo

Photographer’s Note

Situated at the shortest sea crossing to the continent, the Dover Castle has not been called the "Key to England" for nothing - its defensive significance utill the middle of the 20th century was very big. Rebuilt many times over the centuries - not only in medieval times, but also during the Napoleonic Wars.
(If I made some mistakes, please let me know)
I took this picture this glorious August afternoon (or was it early evening?, waiting for the ferry. The day was so clear, that we could see France from England :-)

A very sharp and well exposed picture with a fine POV. The green patches along the wall contrast nicely to the grey stones.
