Photographer’s Note

Here is a nother picture from my trip to England, After a trip to the Dover Castle I walked past this old church ruin, There was not much left of it, but it was worth taking a picture of anyway, and it turned out quite good, I only made some small adustments because the light was so pour.

Hello Jonny, good composition with a good POV.
As you say, the light was not so kind to you;a pity that the left side of your shot is over-exposed.

This photo seems to have a lot of potential, but I still fee lsomething is missing.
With an arch and a path like this the options are endless, I feel you have managed an ok result although a little head on.
It's a pity about the overexposure of the upper left corner, I even feel it is spreading over to other parts of the photo as well.

It's an interesting situation, with the old ruins so near to the modern apartment building. Perhaps some cropping might do the trick, in order to eliminate the background distractions...? I tried it out in the workshop, you can see what you think of it! The positioning of the tree, with the grassy spot viewed through the door, is really quite lovely.
