Sunrise in Dover Photo

Photographer’s Note

Hi Trekkies,
Today one of archetypal European views: famous White Cliffs of Dover. Photo made at daybreak from the car queue in Dover ferry harbour.
Two hours later I was in France, then Belgium, then Holland, then Germany, then Poland.
One driver only, short breaks, long journey indeed...
And everything that, to bring my dog to Ireland without the bureaucratic hassle related to air transport of animals.
Technicals:
1/ Pink gradual filter added digitally in Photoimpact X3.
2/ 1/30s, so it's not handheld! Sony W-1 hasn't the Image Stabiliser system so I used my car's roof as a tripod.:)

cześć, co Ty tam mówisz o białych klifach, jak ja je widze na różowo. A może patrze na swiat przez różowe okulary? Długa miałeś drogę, taka jazda bez zmiennika to bywa niebezpieczna, dobrze, ze nie zasnąłeś za kierownicą. A jak pies zniósł taką jazdę? Klify rzeczywiście strome.

Nice atmosphere of a beautiful morning when everybody is still sleeping and you're the only one to enjoy it.

Fantastic pink lights there, waw! The rocky cliffs are amazing under rarely available sky. Reflections of same colored light from many windows of building noticeable, excellent timing. Congratulations. Have a nice new week.

Coz za swiatlo...coz za kolory! Wspaniale- naprawde piekne klimaty. Podoba mi sie ten efekt- ja choc mam tabaczke- nigdy jej jeszcze nie uzylem. Ladne te skalki.

A wide angle at 1/30s is enough for taking a picture without tripod.
Intersting view of the cliffs I remember this place when I came last time in 1985.

No niezle kombinowales, niezle;) Efekt jest naprawde ciekawy, swietny klimacik sie zrobil...a co do takich podrozy...kiedys smigalismy na trasie Poznan - Barca z 1 driverem...masakra, never again...

Ja bym tyle nie da³ rady jednym ci±giem jechaæ. A jaki to piesek?
Ekstra ska³a, ciekawe ¶wiat³o, tylko jakby nieco rozmyte, chyba ostro¶æ ustawiona zbyt blisko, czy to mgie³ka daje takie z³udzenie?

Te klify rzeczywiscie mnie ciekawia, widzialem je oczywiscie wczesniej na innych zdjeciach i kusza zeby sie tam wybrac. Szkoda ze masz troche zasmiecone zdjecie, no ale nie zawsze jest czas zeby szukac odpowiedniego POV w podrozy. Kolory nieba tez sa boskie.
