Photographer’s Note
After a day of driving around in my car chasing the snow showers (sad huh?) i ended up in a place called Ashey, near brading, right at sunset.
There was light snow falling and it was soooo cold in the strong wind that my fingers were in a lot of pain!
I wasn't sure what to use in my sunset photo, but finally i settled on these trees.
Each time i took a photo, it looked as though it was tilted to the left although my spirit level on my tripod was completely straight, then i realised that it wasn't me that was tilted but the actual trees themselves, they all lean in a slight northeasterly direction due to the prevailing SW wind that blows off of Brading down near by.
I used an ND8 Graduated filter

Hello Jamie !
Very beautiful colors for sky and the sun. I liked that angle, you used to set the frame.
Brilliantly done !

Hi Jamie, what i find very amazing is that you succed to get the color of the gras at the fg still visible. Usualy it become black because of the sun at the lens. Did you get this because the use of the filter you think?
The composition is wonderful and i love the palet of colors.
Kind regards

A great shot! A lovely place and a great time of the day.
I would walk a bit to the right to get a different DOF, but I really like this compo.
Keep sharing!

Hi Jamie,
Nice to hear you were rewarded for your busy day, with this fantastic landscape as the sun was setting. The positioning of the sun is spot on, leaving those two great silhouettes of the trees dominating the otherwise plain scene.
