The Great Flood II Photo

Photographer’s Note

The details of the flood and the location are on the previous photo.

This time i decided to see what this place looked like under moonlight!
There was a huge Halo around the moon which gave it a very surreal effect, especially as i was stood in the middle of a flood, 1am in the morning, the temperature was around 0c, and it was pretty damn scary!
The lights in the distance are from Brading village which luckily is on the side of a hill.

I used an ND4 Graduated filter with an 80 second exposure.

Very interesting circumstances of this shot, and you've made a photo of beauty out of the flood. Incredible exposure with the ND and the 80 seconds! The halo around the moon looks fantastic. Remarkable sharpness in the trees and buildings. Very fine shot with luminosity and depth.

Hi jamie, excellent photo. Love the colors and the composition. All your photos are always amazing. Great reflection of the moon and the lights in the water. The only part that is a little distracting is the ring around the moon.
