Morning mist, Bembridge Photo

Photographer’s Note

Around this time last year the weather was totally different down here. We had warm temperatures, sunny days, and generally lovely weather, but this year we have rain, cold winds, and thunderstorms!
This photo brings back the memories of last year, and it reminds me of the early morning photo sessions that were full of mist and warmth.
This shot was taken at low tide at Bembridge harbour.

I used an ND4 Graduated filter

NOTE: The plastic bag next to the boat messes this photo up a little! How distracting would you say it is?

Hi Jamie,

A pleasant punch with the blue boat in the foreground. But at the same time it does feel a bit like the sun is washing away a bit too much detail on the nearby stone shore. But the depth of focus and the further away mist are very pleasant.

Hi Jamie,
This is a nice view of marine landscape, that should be taken in Brittany i can retrieve the same element and colors. I enjoy all the plan in your well balanced composition, the little smog and the sunset colors in the sky.
It is a very well done shot!

What a wonderful shot! Yes, the plastic bag is in there making it less ideal, but perhaps it adds that sense of reality by imperfection. Was the GND4 a soft or hard cut?

I looked your gallery and i like your lights in your pics
I like this one in particulary for this atmposphere
i like too morning 's lights, the best lights for me
