flying above clouds was always something magic to me - there in that space of stillness and endless beauty with nothing else in sight but blue eternity, our eyes are bathed in the ultimate peace - the unique state of mind that only gods are entitled to

above the clouds is the place where i find the most meaning in this: "we are not human beings having a spiritual experience, but spiritual beings having a human experience" ...

... still i am always imagining what it would be like to touch the fluffy clouds beneath :) ... guess my human side is still stronger :)

photo-wise - please bear with me, i'm only posting this for my personal reference, as this was my first photo session above clouds ... technically: 5% saturation as RAW file was a bit on the dull side, unlike the original view; resize, sharpening after resize

... so don't forget to dream

I like the different shades of blue , starting from dark blue or dark. It reminds me from darkness to life, to hope. Nice photo

Hi Teodora. I find it’s always a surreal sight looking down from such a height. A view that is not really natural for us without our own wings. Excellent photo. I love the colours you have captured in this shot. Well composed and thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Paul.

There's not so much to see, but a lot to dream about ! I love the gradiation in the sky, upto night blue, superb vertical composition, yet apparently so simple !
Bravo,
Cath.

Hello Teodora,
A wonderful athmosphere from the sky, i like the colours so much, well done Teo, tfs.

Hi Teodora,
Very interesting shot, great colours and detail to cloud formations. Dramatic dreamy feel to capture, TFS
Kind Regards
Steve

The clouds look alike as if butter mountains ina big big bowl........a brave attempt Teo....and I love thy words....We are spiritaul beings having human experience.......my salutaions for this marvellous thoughts.

Hi Teodora,

Yes, I know and see what you mean! I also love the view, but I seldom manage to capture it right. Wonderful way the light gradually moves away. Nice one.

Greetings, Dennis

Hello Dora,

The deep blue that you've rendered the upper atmosphere is evocative of the images the astronauts send. A very effective presentation of the image from an airplane. I see some minor dust particles that generated by the high voltage in cameras (especially with Nikons). Cloning could very easily remove them. As for the dust on the chip, you can get a rubber bulb and gently blow them off. Whatever you do, don't get a can of pressurized air, since the chemicals in the aerosol can do more damage than good. In any event, wonderful shot! Did you throw a pin in the Thames, emblamatic of returning? In the manner of a coin in the Fountain of Trevi.

Hi Dora,

I love how you have composed it .. the amount of black is evocative and perfect ... With that much black I might blast this hard through a noise reduction routine.

take care,

John

Hi Teodora,

This is really great, clouds, sky with nice colours. It's like a dream. Sky has a deepness with a meaning.. Good work..
