A different POV of this weir crossing. There's a lot to be said for getting out there on those grey overcast days and it's not just limited to getting longer exposures. Many detail type shots are likely to benefit from the even, and almost shadow less lighting created on such days.

Best regards

Robin

Well Robin, I like this very much. Glad you like to take pictures on overcast days, I do find them interesting too. This is an artistic work, all on graphism and textures, and of superb quality. The curve of the stones and the milky water make for a dynamic view and lovely visual contrast. Compliments!

Hi Robin,

Really like this one. Simple and graphic. The image almost looks B&W except for the stones. I enjoy the slight mystery by allowing the stones to lead out of the frame at the upper left. It leaves the viewer wondering where they lead. Perfect light for a day out with the polariser and a great eye for details.

Cheers!

Bob G.

Robin,
Both of your weir shots are truly spectacular, completely transforming the "mundane" scene into something really eye-catching and special.
I couldn't agree more about the "dull" condirions favouring this sort of work - at least making it easier! The water generates it's own highlights regardless of missing sunshine.
Regards
Colin
