Lymington Harbour

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
For the last week we have been having most unusual weather for February in Britain; with clear blue skies and mild days, but cold at night.
This has encouraged those with boats, to think about getting their craft into the water much earlier than usual.
I don’t expect it will last!
Some information sourced from Wikipedia:
“Lymington on the west bank of the Lymington River is a port on the Solent, in the New Forest district of Hampshire, England.
It faces Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight which is connected to it by a car ferry. The town has a large tourist industry, based on proximity to the New Forest and the harbour. It is a major yachting centre with three marinas”.

Hello, Peter.
A wonderfully sharp and clear picture well demonstrating the lovely bright days we have been having in early February. Very unusual indeed.
Here in Central Scotland we have had some fabulous skies - not just at sunrise and sunset but at all times of the day. Work is indeed a curse and a four-letter word and all I have been able to see of the glorious skies is the odd glimpse out of a window.
Still, this picture has great composition too - I love the way those two rows of massive wooden posts stride out diagonally across the water, dividing the picture from near-right to far-left. The depths of the blues is great and contrasts well with the brightly-coloured boats.
Excellent!
Kind Regards,
John.
