Photographer’s Note
As the Queen Elizabeth 2nd left her home port of Southampton for the final time yesterday, I thought it was a good time to post this image from earlier in the summer.
Taken from Ryde on the Isle of Wight, you could get a great view of the various liners travelling through the Solent on their way to far flung paradises.
With Portsmouth's Spinnaker Tower in the background, the sense of scale is heightened.
