Photographer’s Note
A lovely little house in the village of Langstone, Hampshire.
No pespective distortion here, (well not much anyway). The Picture fills the frame a bit too much maybe, because my head was against the wall of another house on the other side of the road and my camera was at its widest angle. A slipway into the sea, is a few yards along the road and at very high tides these cottages tend to flood. All of the houses here, have a board that is screwed onto the front door if a high tide is expected.
Portsmouth, Langstone and Chichester Harbours are the flooded valleys of the ancient Solent River system. The harbours remain here because of the buffering effect of the Isle of Wight. Without the island, the English Channel may be lapping up against Portsdown Hill. Within the harbours, mudflats and saltmarshes develop because of the protection from the sea's energy. Langstone Harbour covers an area of about 1900 hectares (4700 acres) between Portsea Island to the west and Hayling Island to the east.
Entered into the Scav Hunt.

The contrast between the pastel shades of the wall and the colors of the roof's tiles is astonishing. The relief of bricks is rendered well. Although you are not satisfied, I find the close-up on the facade well seen : it valorizes all elements of this house (notably this magnificent sundial).
One charming composition ! : -)
Notes on this beautiful region of England are rich and instructive.
