Photographer’s Note
Some old posts at Langstone Harbour, at sunset, with a ship on the horizon.
Converted to black and white.
Langstone Harbour is of international importance, for migrating birds it is a haven. Farlington Marshes, one of England's premier bird watching areas, attracts thousands of waders and wild fowl every year. Through the winter months 8,000 migrating Brent Geese settle here. Dunlin and Lapwing flock over the fields when high tide covers the mudflats.

Magnificent sky, and the wood emerging from the ocean is wonderful with well captured reflections.
The lighting is certainly enchanting.

great black and white picture. Good composition with those wooden sticks in the front. Gives an accent to the depth of the shoot.
Well done, Eugene

Good photograph. Would prefer to be a bit closer to the posts for slightly more impact (IMHO), but nevertheless a good bit of work.

Nice pic Michael. I particularly like the reflection of the sun on the water and how the posts are sihouetted against this reflection. One possibility to consider here for even more impact is to increase the contrast of the sky. I will post a WS so you can see if you like it.

What a great atmosphere in this shot! A very impressive composition. Perhaps the sky is a bit overexposed but the light on the sea is perfect. I life such 'unreal' places. :)

a really good pic Michael, the reflection of the fading sun on the sea is beautiuful, so the uniformity of colours. regards Alex
