Beach huts on the grassy sand and shingle beach on Hayling Island in Hampshire, England. In the background a large white mansion that stands out so distinctively against the winter blue sky.

Your trademark is unmistakable!
A very well composed shot which is almost symmetrical.
Excellent sharpness to the huts which act as a funnel to channel attention onto the white mansion.
Have a great w/e,

I remember one of your previous shots where you used the huts walls to frame the scene. And this one is magnificent continuation of that picture.
The beach huts as well as the "White House" in the distance look lovely, but I like here even more this quite dramatic, grey sky, which creates so unique mood of the scene.
Also the light and clarity of the image are superb and contributes significantly to the success of your work.
Have a nice day

Hello Brian. This is a photo in which color plays a major role. Above all, the intense blue is wonderful. The composition I like very much.

An attractive alternative to the previous view of the white mansion and beach huts Brian. Very much a distinctive 'Brian' shot with the colours being nicely saturated and the detail in the sky beautifully managed.
This looks a if it would convert to B&W very well as there are some very good contrasts.
Have a good day

another good use of the beach huts to frame the distant white building, but it`s the sky that I like most in this technically perfect shot.
I agree with Rosemary regarding the BW conversion,it`s a striking photograph with lots going for it.
All the best Les.

between 41 & 40 there is a beautiful architecture, but I think those two cottages are added a lot to your composition. Interesting presentation. Great image quality with vibrant colours. Superb one again. Tfs.

A fine graphical composition, beautifully lit and with superb colour contrasts. The pair of beach huts make a superb contrasting frame for the classically designed mansion house in the background. I am always amazed by how well you handle the light, whatever the situation; you really must give me some lessons:-)

I like this nice symmetrical arrangement. The houses and the building are in superb light. There is a great use of depth of field to hold the viewer in the foreground small houses as well as white building and nice sky in BG, and the excellent lighting conditions have allowed for very good color saturation. The overall impact is very strong.
Very well done.

Hello Brian ,
Very original , this composition , using the two huts in the FG to frame the white mansion in the BG . Wonderful sky and exquisite shrapness .

Another superb cabin shot. indeed you have an endless bunch of those !? Not to be bored with, as far as I'm concerned !
The blue sky at the threshold of 'too much"" for my own taste
have a nice WE, all the best
rychem (34639) 2014-03-14 10:14
Very nice , clear and crisp photo, i like the vivid blue as the dominant color in your photo, I guess the white house in the BG has the number 40,5 :))))

There is something about these little huts that seems almost defiant when you place them against this vast mansion. You may be huge and have many rooms, but WE are closer to the sea and have a better view.
I probably should stop giving emotion to buildings, but its hard not to sometimes.
Love the shades of blue in this too, the shed on the right is striking, especially against the ominous sky which looks like it promises a nice deluge.
Lovely composition for a great result.

Cette nouvelle version me plait peut-être encore mieux que la précédente. Je regrette juste que le 40 n'ait pas eu le temps de repeindre sa porte en bleu!

Beach huts again, haha. Tjhis time rather grass huts. You have neverending source of them nearby. And I like them all. Fantastic blue composition, impressive winter sky.
Have anice days
Kamilutka (8105) 2014-03-15 3:36
I like very much how the blue and white colors of the huts and the house correspond so nicely with the beautiful sky. The grass colors add some contrast. Well taken from interesting POV which places the house far away right in between the huts. Nice perspective and bright and cheerful colors.
Thanks for sharing

Les trois bâtiments forment une belle symétrie avec un beau contraste des couleurs. Jolie composition. Bien fait.

impecable detail in the 2 huts, i wish all of my photos looked like that!!
love the contrast from the dark blue on the right with the lighter tan and brown that's in front of it.
excellent shot my friend
