Photographer’s Note

Ye Olde George Inn at East Meon in Hampshire.
The village dates from about 1150 AD and has two pubs and a church. The other pub is the 'Izzac Walton' the village stream runs along the main street outside the pub.
My mother was brought up in the village, I visited yesterday, it was a fantastic spring day with a cloudless sky.
I cloned out a few telephone lines and some TV aeriels. Circular polariser used.

Couleurs et exposition parfaites, règlage de la distance et DOF aussi, on voit les détailes des facades à tout endroit.
Une composition simple mais plaisante.

Hi Michael,very good shot of an old romantic street,nice houses and good perspective,I like your photo a lot. Just a pity of the scrathes in the sky which seems to me also a bit to mutch saturation and a strange dark color. But well done anyway.Regards,and happy easter...Jonny

Good sharp photo, Michael. Well balanced. I agree that there is a little noise in the sky and I might have cropped the object in the right foreground or alternatively included more of the window of the right hand building, but still a satisfying portrayal of a quiet village. Regards.

Hi Michael,
Gorgeous country inn, I like its eclatant white walls that give it a southern look, but the architecture quickly brings us back to its right place, you did a great job on the colors here and your angle is fine too, I'd step in for a few pints ;-)
