Photographer’s Note

This is another photo from Gloucester Cathedral.
Shot was handheld hence the blur.
Ideally i would have liked to have taken the shot an hour later which would have given lovely sunlight through the windows.Scenes from Harry Potter were filmed here.
It is a most beautiful place to be.

Beaufitul colours, nice overall sharpness. I guess this place must look much more mysterious as it gets darker, so especially at night...

Very classical composition, but great picture. It should be rotated a little bit CCW.

Very nice perspective. The light that is cast upon the floor by the stained glass windows is very pretty.

i think this is better thant the previous post, shows much more detail of the place, i tried a workshop to add a different perspective the shot and alter the tilt, not sure if it works or not! Lovely shot!

A very effective shot, David. Rather unique, because I don't normally see wonderful stained glass down such corridors. I also like the detail on the floor, the black doorway, and the exquisite portrayal of the ceiling detail. Very well captured. Regards.

Oh - nice to see that not all scenes in the Harry Potter movie done in "fake" places - I like the lines and the fine light in mosaic windows - thanks David for showing and sharing.
