Hi Aleks
A good frontal crop of an every day situation. I like the way you don't show us his face!
Have a good sunday!

Hi Aleks. Such care and concentration. Nicely cropped. Great colour, light and sharpness. Every little blotch and wrinkle is seen, all contributing to a gentle portrait of an aged individual. Regards. Klaudio.

Hello Aleks,
A fine portrait study with excellent tight framing to your composition bringing the focus onto the mans hands and concentration to the task at hand.Perfect depth of field and great sharpness giving detail to those wrinkled hands
Thanks for sharing

Hello Aleks - What a super composition. I like the way the frame has been used so cleverly. The hands and face symmetrically placed around the pipe are well balanced and also become the focus of attention standing out against the darker elements. A fine portrait with very crisp detail. Warm regards rosemary

Hello Aleks,
this is a nice study of both the process of lighting up the pipe and an elderly man. Perfect tight framing and compo. All the little detauls add up to my feeling that I'm there.

Hello Aleks,
Just the other day I met someone smoking a pipe in a street and thought it was a rare sight these days.
Anyway this is a good portrait even though we only see the lower part of the man's face. It's really his hands and mouth that matter. Good light and excellent sharpness.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Aleks,
Seeing this picture reminds me once again that I really should give up this habit - I am one of the few pipe smokers left these days! But I suppose we kid ourselves that it is perhaps just a little safer than smoking cigarettes - but not much!
This is a beautifully taken photograph, very nicely and closely cropped to focus our attention on the elements that really matter - the mouth, the pipe, the clasped hands around the pipe, the matchbox. And I like the fact that we can't see the man's eyes as they are hidden beneath his cap - that prevents their distracting our attention away from the business in hand.
Technically perfect too with spot-on exposure, lovely natural colours and stunning sharpness.
Excellent!
Kind Regards,
John.
