[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A shot of the little clocktower/shelter at Frinton-on-Sea, Essex.

Judging by the time on the clock, this shot was taken just after 12pm in January. As you can see, I shot directly into the sun to get the silohette of the tower. I changed the white balance in RAW conversion to warm it up and boosted the yellows in PS7 selective colour from what was originally a dull image. Adding warmth has totally changed the scene.

Thanks for looking,

TW

ooff! I love the orange in this Tim! It could be a velvia shot. Nice to see you next to me in the gallery today. You've done a good job on the silhouette. There is still some nice detail there, with just enough contrast. I'd even consider making this a square shot. Just getting that lovely tower in and the bench.

Hope you have a very good weekend! Rgds, Leilani

Hello Tim,
Very pretty scene, beautiful warm colors and lovely
golden glow, excellent composition and point of view,
good sharpness and depth of field.

Hi Tim,
amazing photo! The only thing that disturbs me a bit is the clock - I'd prefer the spirelet completely black.

Thanks for sharing,

Christian

Hello Tim!
Good idea to warm up the picture : this orange is beautiful. I like in particular the detail of the bench.
Have a nice day!
Eva

Well composed Tim and I especially like the little bench that offsets the clock tower. Good PP in that the colours are warm and inviting even in January.
