High tide at Walton-on-the-Naze in Essex, and another dead tree lying in the surf.

I like how the water is behaving in this one - this part of the beach at Walton is mainly a thin layer of sand over clay, and here the clay has been exposed, causing all sorts of ripples and backwashes to appear in the recceding wave.

fabulous scene and masterfully captured. I love the varying tones of the light and the different hues it takes. Superb composition.

Hello Benjamin,

In my opinio, a tricky shot executed perfectly. You have managed to find an interesting subject, placed it nicely in the frame and wisely utlised the foreground to fullest while keeping a high horizon. There is a lot to enjoy in the frame.

Good work.

Hello Benjamin!

I like this lens too. Great shot made with extrawide angle. Beautiful landscape, splendid light and colors.

Benjamin,
Your composition is great here including the driftwood in the shot. The longer exposure gives the water a smooth silky look while allowing you to have a great DOF. The lighting and colors are outstanding.

Wonderfully simple yet brilliant composition. The border really brings out the colors of the photo. The 1/8 second shutter could have had the effect of making the water seem unintentionally out of focus, but you managed to catch the water moving in just the right way, that it seems dreamlike rather than out of focus. Great job.
