Awaiting the Evening Tide
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
One of the boats at West Mersea, lying in the mud until the evening tide lifts it. Mersea Island is in an estuary, so when the tide goes out it leaves behind a large expanse of mud.
Taken at sunset, after a storm had finished and the clouds were slowly clearing. |

Hi Benjamin
The clear after-storm is so beautiful. I really like the dynamic position of the boat in the corner and how it's such a bright blue. It stands out so well againsts the greyer tones of the rest of your image.
Regards
Nikki
Very beautiful light.
The blue of the boat is just the perfect touch of bright color, very eye catching.

Hello Benjamin,
This is a very striking and attractive picture. The blue of the boat obviously stands out as the main focus, but the silvery monochrome, almost palpable texture of the mud is also very effective. The boats in the background create a strong sense of depth.
A very well constructed and executed composition.
John
I like the colors and the details. Good angle and very good picture.
Thanks!
