Photographer's Note
As a little break, memories of the spring. in the garden of Saffron Walden.
The English landscape garden, also called English landscape park or simply the English garden is a style of Landscape garden which emerged in England in the early 18th century, and spread across Europe, replacing the more formal, symmetrical Garden à la française of the 17th century as the principal gardening style of Europe. The English garden presented an idealized view of nature. They were often inspired by paintings of landscapes by Claude Lorraine and Nicolas Poussin, and some were Influenced by the classic Chinese gardens of the East, which had recently been described by European travelers. The English garden usually included a lake, sweeps of gently rolling lawns set against groves of trees, and recreations of classical temples, Gothic ruins, bridges, and other picturesque architecture, designed to recreate an idyllic pastoral landscape. The work of Lancelot 'Capability' Brown was particularly influential. By the end of the 18th century the English garden was being imitated by the French landscape garden, and as far away as St. Petersburg, Russia, in Pavlovsk, the gardens of the future Emperor Paul. It also had a major influence on the form of the public parks and gardens which appeared around the world in the 19th century.

Hi Malgo,
Green, green, green and one little nice red eye-catcher! And not only that, I enjoy the little path that curves into the scene. A very attractive picture!
Kind regards

Kia ora Malgo,
Such a nice garden setting, certainly indicative of England. We have many gardens like this in NZ, as most of our population is of Britishb descent, but in Auckland around 60% of the world's plants will grow - European temperate plants & sub-tropical - & rainfall is fairly high (2200mm). Cheers, Neil

Hi Malgo - what a beautiful sweet scene! This little girl in pink complements the green of the garden in perfect spring colors, and she's balanced by a hint of the same color in the flower buds on the left. The path is a nice entryway into an idyllic scene. Thanks for taking the mind off this cold weather!

Hi Malgo,
Lovely greenery that depicts late Spring early Summer. The curving path adds good lead in lines. Excellent sharpness & the girl in pink attire makes a good focal point as well as contrasting against the greenery. Tfs!

Hello Malgo,
The little girl in the red top makes an excellent focal point surrounded by all the greenery. The shot is well composed with the pathway placed off-centre. Agreeable natural tones and very good sharpness.
