| Taken this weekend in Essex. I changed from my usual wide angle for the telephoto. Sometimes I have to force myself to try different things as my natural wide-angle tendencies can get a bit same'y. For this shot I would have liked to be higher up in order to seperate the top of the left boats mast from the horizon. In fact, I would have liked to not have the horizon in the shot at all, but I couldnt get high enough. Still, I like the gold water and the placement of the two boats, as if they are two old friends. |

I like the ripples on the water, it really adds to the warmth of the colours and feel of the shot. I might have cropped it differently, taking out the shoreline at the bottom, to maximise the focus on the two boats.
Nice work!
Hello, Adam!
I do like lighting in this picture. Very nice color of sun going down, mirrored in the water. Dark silhouettes of boats increase contrast and make the perspective deeper. Very delicate and charming view. Good job!

Greg
