The Chapel of St Peter-on-the-Wall, Bradwell-on-Sea, Essex is believed to be one of the oldest Christian churches in England still in regular use. It was built in 654 AD by St.Cedd on the foundations of an abandoned Roman fort. From the 14th century it was used as a barn and consequently it likely retains its original Saxon form. In 1920 it was restored as a chapel.
Scanned from 35mm negative. And yes, such sunny days and blue skies are possible in England! |

I see strong light and it's usually difficult condition for architecture. I think you managed it well having all details on the front of this building and also enough od the part in shadow. I like this point of view and perspective making the church dominating towards the landscape. I see some lense distortions but they are not bothering me much. The most important for me is informative aspect of your photo and note. Thanks!

A great picture of such a simple subject, but you make it look almost majestic there!
A great note too!
