[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this shot of the old church in colour but it has been such a drab day that I thought I'd do a bit of experimentation with black and white conversion and sepia toning.

My only other post-shot processing was to darken the sky slightly and apply unsharp mask.

I hope you like it.

Hello Paul,
Very nice composition that suits the square format. The sepia toning gives it a timeless felling that suits the mood very well. Good definition.

Hi Paul, very good composition and framing. But I don't like sephia colors. I suggest B&W or original colors for this kind picture. Overall review is good. Thanks for sharing.

Hello Paul,
Very good composition.
... just spectacular.
Regards,
Grzegorz

Yes like your treatment of this shot; the sepia tones are good.
The great tree looks good in silhouette.
Not sure about the composition, maybe I would have liked to see more of the tower.
TFS, regards Jean

The composition here is everything (especially working with the flat light you have to contend with). Square framing is sorely under-used in general but when applied to the right shot, can enhance it greatly, as here. Nice photo.

Hi Paul,
Nice atmosphere in this picture with this tree and the church.
I like the effect given by the wide angle.
Christophe

This is also a great bit of composition, very atmospheric.

Simon

Looks like one of those scarry British novels I had to read! :-)
Very striking composition with the tree and the church. The color tone is what grabbed my attention first.
