Autumn light brings out the colours on the few ivy infested dead trees that inhabit this part of The Friston Forest near the village of Westdean in East Sussex, England.

un très beau sous bois, la couleur et la finesse du feuillage sont superbes. Une très belle photo.

Spooky shot, and an apt title, I could easily see figures here, flitting among the trees, going out of sight just before the eye could settle on their forms. The effect of the light across these leaves is really amazing. A haunted forest captured in the most beautiful light to belie its spooky character. I guess at night this place takes on a very different vibe.
Cool post, thanks for sharing
All the best

A difficult light, here, but very well tackled. The f/g is sharp and the mid-ground certainly has a ghostly presence.
I love the colours and how the light is filtering through to highlight certain areas.
Have a great w/e,

Beautiful sylvan Autumn scene. I love the way the predominant greens are just being threatened by the yellows and russets of the Change. The vertical format was well chosen too.

Fantastic atmosphere in this forest, I like such shady places with their color palette, very well spotted and captured

Very good image showing the nature at it's best. The colours are marvellous. The tree is really very tall.
Thanks for sharing.

Superbe photo de sous-bois. Tu as magnifiquement joué avec la lumière.

Lovely play of light and shadow. The leaves create numerous tiny splashes of colour which makes the image look like an impressionist painting.
Have a nice evening
