Photographer's Note
Autumn leaf color is a phenomenon that affects the normally green leaves of many deciduous trees and shrubs by which they take on, during a few weeks in the autumn season, one or many colors that range from red to yellow. The phenomenon is commonly called fall colors and autumn colors, while the expression fall foliage usually connotes the viewing of a tree or forest whose leaves have undergone the change. In some areas of Canada and the United States, "leaf peeping" tourism is a major contribution to economic activity. This tourist activity occurs between the beginning of color changes and the onset of leaf fall.

Hello Iain,
This is a fairly original variety of the well known theme of flipping the reflections 180 degrees. At first glance I didn't notice anything in particular but then I got interested in what looked like a strange "optical phenomenon" among the trees. Only later did I see the weeds at the bottom and understood whar was going on. A tricky and refined composition. I like it very much.

Gert

Hello Iain,

Hello Iain,
This is super. The reflections really are special and I love the red 'punch' amongst all the other autumnal hues. One of your best refelction pictures. By the way Sheffield Park is in East Sussex - but who minds!
Best wishes,
Ann

Hello Iain,
it took me a moment to realise that your camera was not out of focus but the fuzziness the result of a reflection.Lovely autumn colours and I like the placement of the circle of ripples.
Very pleasing indeed.

Hello Iain,
This is a beautiful way to display the fall colors. I especially like the red tree. There are so many different shapes and sizes of trees in this shot, and they create a wonderful view. I also like the circular ripple in the water.

Hi Iain,
I don't like specially autumn, I mean, I do not like wwinter that comes after, but the autumn photos are really gorgeous. beautiful view, it is not easy to realize it is inverted reflection, only after a whir we see the circular waves. Wonderful colours.
Warm regrads

Hello Iain,
A fine composition of this beautiful autumnal foliage caught in reflection. Additional interest is provided by the concentric ripples. Superb colours and sharpness.

Perfect inverted reflection, Iain.
Lovely how you managed to include so many trees in one shot. The circle on water in exquisite in sight.
Good evening,

Hi Iain,
Now this is one of the few things I miss about the UK - a proper Autumn - and your shot has captured it perfectly.
The ripples that you have managed to capture have turned another lets-turn-the-reflection-around type of shot, which is getting a little bit ten-a-penny, into something rather special.
Great work, thanks, Iain

Hi Iain,
a very, very beautiful picture! Love the gentle circles on the water and the fiery red against the dark gray background. Excellent picture!
