Boats and the distinctive towers of Hove Deep Sea Anglers Club on the seafront in Hove, East Sussex, England. Although they look older the towers were added in the 1980's with the lower buildings dating from 1922.

Nice composition in the vertical frame with as big entry the colorful boat and then the perspective effect with the pier going far in background and a good inclusion of the tower to end to balance the shot.

Hello Brian - A great composition with the brilliantly coloured boat contrasting so attractively with the more restrained colours of the building and towers. Like this one a lot. Warm regards Rosemary

Immagine ben composta, impatto cromatico efficace, magnifica la definizione! Bello anche il cielo nuvoloso!

The rich orange tones of the boat make a superb contrast with that slightly threatening sky. A cleverly composed image that allows the eyes to move naturally up the frame form one element of the composition to the next.

Hello Brian ,
An attractive composition . It is curious , but the boat seems to be in the light , and the other parts in the shade . I like the saturated colors , and the sky , too .

Ciao e buon pomeriggio

what a great picture! I love the bright colors of the boat and the way they contrast with the rest of the image. Well planned composition and perfect POV. Sharpness and contrast are excellent!

The diagonal position of these very eye-catching boats is very good. The striped chimney (?) behind also add to this impression. The pattren of the half-timbered wall is also a good part of the picture.

a trademark of yours - tight composition, sharp shot and great colours. The sky is a little dull in the upper third - do I detect an ND grad?
yquem46 (32271) 2013-01-31 11:53
I just commented the post by Yves
This one is at the opposite, as colorful, joyful and luminous as his was austere and sinister
Both are beautiful, each one in its own category
Best regards, have a nice evening

Je suis toujours impressionné par ta façon de donner des couleurs chatoyantes au monde qui t'entoure. Bien vu et bien réalisé, une fois de plus.

A classical small port image. I love it, especially when the colors are perfect and the saturation is in it's optimal form. Good work once again!
CLODO (24726) 2013-02-01 2:11
You've looked for a good POV to enhance the bright warm color in this perspective leading to the sea front.
mesutilgim (67982) 2013-02-01 4:52

Beautiful picture too!
Special regards to the (wonderful) colors - as usual - vertical format, exposure and composition!
Lots of interesting geometrical shapes in the man-made elements!

Have a great week-end,

Hi dear Brian
What I like about this is that even though there is very little sea in this image, the marine theme still comes through strongly. The bright orange boat is very eye-catching, as is the striped tower in the BG. I like the older architecture of the lower buildings, that seem alot older than 1922! Thanks for sharing, have a lovely weekend

How do you find the colours and light! There is a luminous quality about this. A super viewpoint making the most of great shapes and colour.
Kind Regards, Ann
