Photographer's Note
A sunny spring day in Eastbourne, East Sussex, England. Warm but not a soul on the pebble strewn beach. Autumn has arrived here in the UK and with a blink of an eye the summer has gone……………
Nobody on the road, nobody on the beach
I feel it in the air the summer's out of reach
Empty lake empty streets, the sun goes down alone
I'm driving past your house, though you're not home.

Hi Brian,
I love the colours and your well thought out graphic composition. The image and your note fit together like a glove. The image has near perfect bilateral symmetry which is only upset by the clouds.
On deeper reflection, it is a very powerful image.

Trevor

Hello Brian,
A fine bookmark shot, wonderfully composed and with colours that co-ordinate sublimely. A real 'artist's piece. I could see this as a piece of needlecraft ... wish I had the skill!
Have a lovely day,

This one is actually tempting to print out and use as a bookmark for beach reading, Brian. I love the use of empty space to compose the shot, and the bright blue lines running through the sloping roofs of the structures add a nice graphic element. nicely drenched in color, and a beautiful blue sky above it all - fantastic choices of subject and framing. Enjoy the week.

Hello Brian,
With very few elements, you managed a spendid graphical composition with a great visual effect. Nice spotting here, I like the vivid colours and the subtle use of light to enhance the different textures you've been able to capture. Excellent work !

You must have an artist's eye to see this pov. With wonderful bold colours it makes a great graphical image.

Amazing precision in composition. The beauty of the sea and the pebbles on the beach are perhaps enhanced by the narrow point of vision throgh which the viewer anxiously and expectantly looks at the lower part of the photograph.
On the top are the the flowing layers of white clouds on deep blue skies.
Pleanty of sharp colours in the photograph - and honestly - I do not miss the absence of a soul. The photograph affords space for silent contemplation.
Thanks for sharing.

Hi dear Brian
I'm showing my age here, but this reminds me of a Chris Rea album cover...One The Beach or some such. Excellent bookmark cut, making this even more arty and full of impact. I lovee the vibrant colours and the image is so sharp it almost splits the screen. Thanks for sharing, have a beautiful day

Hello Brian,
I am getting behind again on TE! I had seen this and loved it from the start. The tight vertical framing, symmetry and position of the horizon on the third makes a very fine contemporary shot. The clean lines of the beach huts and the saturated blue colour of the rails contrast with the fluffy clouds. Amazing observation and production - excellent!
Best wishes, Ann
